BUT WAIT! DON'T THE MAGNETS HURT MY PHONE?

NO!  The phones nowadays have magnets already in them! Therefore, external magnets, even strong ones, do not affect the phone’s touch function, processors, or most importantly, the memory. The magnets can alter the built-in compass app and its function, but let’s be honest. When was the last time you used that app? Even if this is a concern to you, detach Magace in seconds and the compass app will automatically re-calibrate.

DO THE MAGNETS AFFECT MY CREDIT CARD'S SWIPE STRIP?

Magnets, even weak ones, can scramble the magnetic information on credit cards, bank cards and other cards with mag strips, by being in close proximity and the exposure time. Although our Neodymium magnets may be strong, they are orientated in such a way to maximize the distance from any magnetic strip on your cards. Using magnetic shielding in areas of concern, we increase the protection to your card’s information. We have conducted several tests and have had our own personal cards in Magace phone wallets for over a year. To summarize, it takes about 4000 gauss (unit of magnetic field strength) to demagnetize a credit or bank card and 300 gauss to demagnetize a hotel room key. Our case is designed to protect even hotel keys. You can be confident that your card’s information is safe.

WHAT IS THIS QUICK-DRAW FEATURE?

The quick-draw feature we built into Magace props up the stored cards so that you can use one finger to lift and pull out, from the bottom, the most used card. A small ridge was added to the design, which allows that same card to be re-inserted into the bottom slot quickly and easily. 

HOW DROP PROOF IS IT?

Magace is designed to be interchangeable and minimalistic. We wanted it to provide that well needed fall protection if it slips out of your hand while taking it in and out of your pocket or purse. Current testing has shown a drop protection of 5 feet.  Further designs for increasing this height are currently in development.

HOW DOES THE KICKSTAND WORK?

Our Magace case allows you to stand your phone in 5 orientations:

1) Landscape edge.  For horizontal viewing in landscape mode. Keep Magace closed and place flat edge on a flat surface.

 

2) Portrait edge. For vertical viewing in portrait mode. Keep Magace closed and place flat edge on a flat surface.

 

3) Kickstand landscape. Pull back the ID holder cover 45°, prop up the magnetic card holder flap and rest the tip into the ID holder’s prongs. Let the magnetic power hold it all together.

Lay the phone on a flat surface and let it lean back in a landscape view.

 

4) Kickstand portrait, high angle.   Pull back the ID holder cover 45°, prop up the magnetic card holder flap and rest the tip into the ID holder’s prongs. Let the magnetic power hold it all together.

Place the wallet section on a flat surface with both edges on the flat surface allowing the phone to gently lean on the wallet section with magnetic force.

 

6) Bonus!  Magnets are amazing, so find something magnetic nearby and make a kickstand any way you like! Can your kickstand balance on a wall?

HOW MUCH CASH CAN IT HOLD?

Magace is designed to minimize bulk. However, the built-in magnetic money clip can expand and hold up to 10 bills, but we recommend 8. A bonus feature is, the money clip keeps your bills tightly gripped, flat, and gives them a crisp single fold line that is quite satisfying.

DO THE MAGNETS AFFECT GPS?

NO! Static magnetic fields do not affect the electromagnetic spectrum that your iphone uses to track its position. 

DO THE MAGNETS AFFECT THE CHIP, PIN OR TAP FEATURE OF MY CARDS?

Absolutely not! Rare earth magnetic fields (even really strong ones @ +10000 gauss) do not affect the chip and pin technology or the NFC tap functionality of your cards.

WHAT IF I HAVE MORE THAN 5 CARDS?

The mission and goal of Magace is to be as minimalist as possible and eliminate bulky, back breaking, card bending wallets. If five cards are not enough, we would strongly suggest an amazing and FREE app called STORCARD where you can store hundreds of loyalty cards, membership cards, and anything with a scannable bar code!

WHERE CAN I STORE MY BUSINESS CARDS?

There are 3 locations in Magace where business cards can be stored – with your credit and debit cards, in the ID holder’s kickstand support, or the adjustable money clip. The best part is, your business cards are kept secured, flat, clean and protected from damage!

HOW MUCH CASH CAN IT HOLD?

DOES THE MONEY CLIP WEAR OUT?

No! Unlike other mechanical money clips that bend and warp, eventually leading to weak grip strength or total failure, our strong neodymium magnets take over 100 years to lose any of their gripping power. 

HOW SECURELY DOES IT ATTACH TOGETHER?

Using an array of strong magnets, interlocking features, wraparound hugging edges and using surface-to-surface friction forces, Magace is on there good and strong!  You will have a fun time pulling it apart, over and over again. If you feel it is too secure, then a gentle sliding action with your thumb will release the magnetic strength and it will slide off effortlessly.
